Cancellation Policy
Cancellations earlier than seven days (one week) prior to a lesson or program will receive full credit towards a future booking.
Whoopsie Policy: A refund minus a $25 admin fee will be issued for cancellations within 48 hours of booking. No credit will be issued for any cancellation within seven days (one week) of a lesson or program.
If Trail Sports cancels a lesson or program, participants will receive a refund. All group classes and programs require three participants to run. Bring a friend!
Weather
Trail Sports makes decisions about the weather or air quality in real time; we do not forecast conditions.
Camps ride in the rain. Participants should always carry a rain jacket in their backpack. If there is thunder and/or lightning, instructors will lead participants to a safe place; sometimes this means indoors.
For air quality, Trail Sports follows protocols based on IQAir Nordic Centre Monitor.
Trail Sports strives not to cancel lessons/programs due to weather. Should weather conditions be unsafe or long-lasting (for example, thunder and lightning, or air quality), then Trail Sports reserves the right to cancel lessons/programs. Every effort will be made to reschedule the lesson/program; if this is not possible, a refund for a missed lesson/program time will be issued. Participants will only be notified if a lesson is cancelled.
Waiver Form
The Parent/guardian of participant must complete the Trail Sports waiver form in participant's name before day one of camp. The waiver applies to EVERY session of the series. If parents did not complete the Trail Sports waiver form online at the time of registration, please
do so by clicking on the link below:
Group Size
Group sizes are small (typically, 1:6 teaching ratio; 1:4 for Spockets Camp and Air Camp). Participants are divided by ability level. This 2025 Summer season, our age categories are age 5 (Sprockets), age 6-7 (Grippers), age 8-10 (Cranksters), age 11-13 (Big Wheels), age 11-15 (Air Camp). Please note that mixed age categories are effective in providing mentorship, group support and encouragement, and safety on the trails in that everyone is riding at a similar ability.
What is the Early Bird Discount?
Camp price minus $15 per registration. Must register by midnight of January 31, 2027, for an early bird discount to apply.
I registered my child for bike camp in time for the early bird special but forgot to use the discount code. Can I please receive the discount?
Once Trail Sports confirms your registration (date and amount paid), you will receive a $15 credit on your Acuity account that can be used towards future bookings.
Can my child move up an age category based on ability?
A campers age category is based on the age they will be on the first day of camp.
Biking ability is not the only factor that makes it reasonable to move a participant up an age category. Maturity, stamina and strength also play a large role.
There are many reasons for having age categories, including ease of registration; however, we consider bike groups to be fluid in that if a participant is better off in a different age group, the instructors will accommodate this as long as the situation is right and resources allow. We instruct at a ratio of 1:6 and must keep within that guideline.
Can I register my child in an older age category based on their biking ability?
Participants who are five years old must register in Sprockets only. Trail Sports does not move five-year olds up an age category based on biking ability.
Trail Sports allows parents to register their child in an older age category upon discussion with us and with the following caveat:
If at any time during camp the arrangement of having a younger participant registered in an older age category is not working for the child, the instructor or the group in general, the participant is removed and no credit is issued.
Is there drop-in or day-to-day camp registration?
No drop-in registration is available. Participants must register in advance for the full camp.
Why is my child not learning jumps?
Trail Sports offers an Intro to Air Camp for ages 11–15. If resources allow, a Level II instructor may add an intro to air component for Cranksters; however, not all groups are suited for this. Wheels on the ground is our general motto for bike camps, and a lot of fun can be had with this guideline in place.
